Environment Setup

Please follow the below steps in order to get ready for angular application.

Step 1 : Install NodeJS package


You need to install nodejs installer from the below source. Download the current version and follow the instructions to install it on your system.

Nodejs is a JavaScript run-time build on Chrome’s V8 JavaScript engine. NodeJS is package ecosystem, (npm), is the largest ecosystem of open source libraries in the world.

We will be using npm alot in our examples and projects.

Step 2 : Install Angular cli


Angular CLI is basically is a command line interface to build your angular apps using nodejs style modules. Angular cli is a command line tool for creating angular apps as you don’t need to spend your time installing and configuring all the required dependencies.

Use below command to install cli

Open command prompt and type the below command

npm install -g @angular/cli

It may take some time to install the cli interface for you.

Step 3 : Editor for Angular Applications


Microsoft provided the best and free IDE for angular applications. Download and install it on your system from the below source.

Angular 4



That’s it, you are ready to build some beautiful apps in angular.
